Class Descriptions

All of my classes are mostly Vinyasa.  Vinyasa mean’s “linked by breathe.”  This fluid and creative type of yoga is designed to use stretching and strengthening movement to create internal heat.  This internal heat helps us open the body, burn toxins and ignite the digestive fire.  All practices are designed to release tension and make more room in the body for energy to flow.   Increasing the flow of energy helps your body work, play and heal more efficiently.

You can expect a dimly lit room with soft music.  My classes start with an opening meditation for mindfulness and intention.  We warm up slowly - building on sequences to strengthen, open and energize the body.  The second half of the class is devoted to flexibility and the release of tension.  All classes end with a 10 minute guided meditation.

Vinyasa Mix  This “flow style” class will warm you and your spine slowly.  The first half of this class will be active and strong – the second half will be devoted to flexibility and meditation.  You will leave the class feeling peaceful, refreshed, and centered.

Vinyasa Strong Flow  This strong class is designed to create heat from the inside out to burn toxins and impurities and to stoke your digestive fire.  This practice is devoted to strength, flexibility, focus, core strengthening and balance.  Be prepared to work, breathe and sweat.

Vinyasa Slow Flow This meditative class works slowly to contemplate breath, connection and form.  This is a wonderful, well-rounded class for beginners or for those seeking more flexibility and overall wellness.
