About Me

I have been a student of Yoga for at least 8 years now.  I was drawn to Yoga because I thought the movement was beautiful to watch.  I was very frustrated at first by how inflexible and weak I felt.  Thank God I stuck with it.  Soon I started to feel stronger, healthier, centered, more balanced, alive, peaceful and finally, flexible.  It didn’t take too long before I was completely hooked. My life began to change.  I learned to love and honor my body.  I finally saw the beauty in patience, discipline and sitting still.  Somewhere along the way I found my voice and began to use it.  I started focusing on being more conscious.  I began to listen to my intuition and later trust it.  I got stronger – mind, body and spirit.  Even now, every day brings a new lesson.

I was asked to teach over 6 years ago.  I absolutely love it.  I LOVE having anything to do with people getting into Yoga and having their lives changed as a result.  I will admit my training is quite assorted.  I have had the privilege of learning from Rodney Yee, Baron Baptisite, Shiva Rae, Bryan Kest, Johnny Kest, Ana Forrest, Tias Little and many other great teachers.  Vinyasa yoga is my favorite.   I am truly into the “flow” of things!  More than anything, I believe in listening to your body very closely.  If you hear the whispers, you never have to hear a shout.  I like to blend and change it up.  The last time I counted – I’d taught over 3400 classes.  In addition to classes, I teach yoga privately.  More recently I received Advanced Reiki certification.

On the personal side, I consider myself a Christian with a strong Buddhist influence.  I trust that the Universe guides us when we pay attention.  It’s ALL about staying present.  I believe energy medicine is very powerful stuff.  And I think people should use Yoga in their lives however it suits them.

N’amaste
